Ellen Terry leaves for America

Famous actress Ellen Terry has left for a series of performances in the United States. After her great success earlier this year, Mrs. Terry was the star of 'The Amber Heart' at the Royal Lyceum Theatre, she feels it is now appropriate to venture outside of the borders of the United Kingdom. It is a certainty that London's theatre frequenters will miss the diva's performances in the coming period. Who can forget her portrayal of Titana in a Midsummer’s Night Dream? From an early age the famous actress has been involved in and participated in large theatre productions. Mrs. Terry's first engagement was in 1856 at the Princess Theatre, where she played the part of Mamilius in Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale every night for one hundred and two nights. Her older sister Kate, who had begun acting in London in 1852, also played at the Princess. She continued acting at the Princess Theatre until 1859. In her autobiography she described herself during those years as "a very strong, happy and healthy child." Between 1861-1862, Mrs. Terry was engaged by the Royalty Theatre, managed by Madame Albina de Rhona. In 1862, she joined her sister Kate in Bristol and began working with J.H. Chute's stock company where she played a wide variety of parts. When first cast for a burlesque role, Mrs. Terry pointed out that she was unable to sing or dance, was told that she had to do it anyway, and grew to enjoy burlesque as much as Shakespeare. In 1863, Chute opened the Theatre Royal in Bath, where Mrs. Terry appeared at the opening in her most famous role of Titana in A Midsummer's Night's Dream. It was obvious from the start that she would become the versatile and celebrated actress we know today. We do not see her go across the ocean lightly and we hope to see her soon in our theatres again. Until then, bon voyage. Partial Source: Wikipedia

Thought of the moment:
My intention here is to make it clear that not a single cell of my composition, here in regard to The Raven, is found by chance or intuition, that the composition moved towards perfection with the precision and inevitability of a mathematical equation.

The Critical Times is a work of fiction. Many of the characters are inspired by historical figures; others are entirely imaginary creations of the author's. Apart from the historical figures, any resemblance betgween these fictional characters and actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.
